Two leases secured for St. Modwen Properties
Brown & Lee Stevenage is pleased to confirm two new lettings for St Mowden Properties, which will occupy all 90,000 sq ft at its Letchworth Industrial Estate, Hertfordshire.
Tyco, a wholly owned subsidiary of system security specialists Tyco International, will occupy 75,000 sq ft across three buildings. And Titan Logistics, a franchisee of courier company DPD, will lease the remaining 15,000 sq ft.
Letchworth has not seen any major new industrial developments for a number of years, resulting in a lack of modern commercial space, both here and across the northern home counties.
So having secured planning permission for the scheme, St Mowden decided to speculatively develop the brownfield site in November 2014. St Mowden’s development manager Nick Smith said “By speculatively building, we have been able to satisfy demand for modern premises across the regions.”
Located within Letchworth’s Works Road industrial area, the site enjoys good access via Junction 9 of the A1 (M).
