A top 40 success for Brown & Lee
A survey in July 2017’s Property Week magazine, which also covers the latest property news, events, investments and valuations from the property markets, recently revealed a list of the UK’s best performing commercial agents.
With a turnover of £2.1M, Brown & Lee Chartered Surveyors were included at number 37. And in a second table, which ranked the top 40 firms by “revenue per fee earner”, B&L was ranked an impressive 20th place.
There were some notes of caution, however, and the figures in next year’s Property Week Agency Survey are likely to look very different. Despite 60% of firms saying they intend to increase staff numbers within the next year and develop professional areas of their businesses, the survey questioned whether these intentions would translate into action given the challenges facing the market at the moment.
Overall, this annual survey of the UK’s biggest property services firms revealed a positive commercial property market in ‘rude health’. It reported that the total European revenue of the top 10 agencies had risen by 11% to £5.1bn, while the total UK revenue of the top 40 agencies came in at £3.94bn – up 13% on the 2015 results.
Particularly in terms of revenue per fee earner, Brown and Lee has continued to perform strongly. It plans to continue development of its agency & professional services and drive growth by providing its clients with a winning formula of broad regional representation and an unrivalled local knowledge-base.
